“There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way” -- C.S. Lewis
Kevin and Cynthia “Tia” Reilly ministered with ABWE from 1993 to 2010 in Latin America. Working first in Paraguay, South America, for two terms, they ministered in church planting and later in education. From 2005-2009, the Reillys and their four children worked specifically with Christian education in San Jose, Costa Rica, where the whole family ministered with both “mks” (missionary kids) and Costa Rican children at Sojourn Academy. They also participated in church planting ministries in New Life Impact Baptist Church (Iglesia Bautista Impacto Vida Nueva) with music and children’s church. They were excited to see our own children involve themselves in ministry opportunities on their own.
Now the Lord has brought all six back to the US--Ohio, specifically. Tia taught high school Spanish part-time at Xenia Nazarene Christian School for a year before signing on full-time with Xenia Christian High School as Educational Assistance Specialist. After two years in that role, she now teaches secondary level language arts. Kevin worked for a year and a half with US veterans through the Disabled American Veterans at the Veterans Medical Center in Dayton, OH. Then he taught part-time at Xenia Christian in the middle school--three class of history.
"Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
